Testing taught me to see the product the way users do.

Every test case starts with one question: what should happen for this person? That is a product question. Here is the loop I bring to product work.

Understand

Start from the user's goal and the expected behaviour, before touching the screen.

Evidence

Check the real product against the design and the API. Facts first, opinions later.

Decide

Rank problems by user impact so the team fixes and builds the right thing first.

Close the loop

Agree on clear acceptance criteria, then retest until done really means done.
